Have an idea? If you have an idea that will help young people in care or in transition from care, apply for Creative Opportunities grant funding. You can get up to $2,000 for your innovative project. Apply today -the deadline is October 31, 2011. Find out more or download the application.
Local YLAT meetings are happening now!
Attend your local YLAT meeting to learn how you can help change the child welfare system by making connections, learning new skills, using your voice, and having fun. Here is the calendar that will help you to find your meeting. Adults and youth are invited to attend -it takes a partnership to create long lasting change.
Impact future services!
NYTD is the new National Youth in Transition Database that was created by the federal government to track the services and outcomes for youth in and aging out of care. This July, your caseworker will talk with you about participating. This is your chance to make sure services and outcomes for youth in Maine are counted! Your involvement in NYTD will encourage your peers to participate, help us know how you are doing, and ultimately improve services for younger youth in care. Read more
