National School to Career Partnership

The Original Foster Care Survival Guide was written with as few words possible, for you--a teenager desperatley searching for someone to lead you out of foster care and into a successful future. I am confident this book will prove to be a powerful tool for you in your trasnition to a successful adult. Why am I so confident? Because in making my own transition from foster care to successful adulthood, I personally tested and validated every concept presented.
Fight for your Rights [pdf]
This Guidebook is intended to help foster youth (and all those who care about them) to understand the rights and services available when leaving the foster system.
Youth Activism Project
The Youth Activism Project encourages young people to pursue their ideas for community change. Dozens of success stories are posted on its site showing how minors have created teen centers, reformed school policies, changed laws, etc. A toll-free hotline (1-800-KID-POWER) offers free advice. Action handbooks, videos, a free monthly e-newsletter and other resources designed for teens as well as their adult advisors are aslso available.

fyi3.com is a partnership web project between FosterClub.com and the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative.
The website, fyi3.com, provides foster youth between ages 14 and 23 opportunities to become involved, informed and independent in their tranisitoning journey towards adulthood.
Material Comforts
Material Comforts is a nonprofit organization providing comfort and support to foster children through the production of homemade quilts.
Camp to Belong
Camp to Belong is a year-round national nonprofit all volunteer organization dedicated to reuniting brothers and sisters placed in separate foster homes for events of fun, emotional empowerment and sibling connection.
Community Mentoring
We work with youth ages 11—21 who are living in and preparing to leave the foster care system in Cumberland and York Counties. We recruit and train mentors, match them with youth, and help them develop and sustain a meaningful relationship. Mentors provide youth in care a teacher, a role model, a friend.

Outright
Outright creates a safe, positive, affirming environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning folks ages 22 and under.

Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative
The Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative is a major national effort to help youth in foster care make successful transitions to adulthood. We bring together the people and resources needed to help youth make the connections they need to education, employment, health care, housing, and supportive personal and community relationships.
