2023  Conference Highlights!

The 33rd Annual Teen Conference for Youth in Maine’s Child Welfare System and the adults who support and care for them; was held on June 29, 2023, at the Husson University 1 College Circle, Bangor. 128 individuals attended this year’s conference, themed “Growing Roots, Blossoming Futures.” Our keynote speaker Dakota Roundtree-Swain shared their experiences and how they have overcome many barriers with passion and were filled with positive encouragement, emotion, and education. Young people who attended the conference stated they had the opportunity to learn that leadership skills and voice and that they are not alone.
